Estrategic – Composite Resin in Anterior Teeth

3-day intensive workshop for direct anterior composite resin restorations, from planning and layering to finishing, surface texture and final polishing.

Founder of the Estrategic educational concept and international lecturer in aesthetic direct restorations, Dr. Ana Luiza Libório has trained over 500 dentists from more than 10 countries.
A lecturer with an active community of over 78.5k followers on social media, where she constantly shares clinical cases.

Course Agenda

The workshop is structured over 3 intensive days, during which theory, clinical demonstrations and hands-on sessions progressively complement one another. The course starts from the principles of direct restorations in the anterior region and progresses to the practical application of layering techniques, morphology, texture, finishing and polishing.

The program is designed so that each participant understands not only the steps of a composite restoration, but also the rationale behind every decision: case selection, shape analysis, shade control, material adaptation and achieving a natural result integrated into the patient’s smile.

What you will learn?

A practical course on direct anterior composite resin restorations, built with precision, tooth preservation and aesthetic rationale.

Learn how to approach anterior aesthetic cases through a clear protocol, in which every stage has a precise role: tooth analysis, shade selection, layering, shape modelling, texture and final polishing.

Direct composite restorations can deliver extremely natural results when performed with a well-controlled technique. Success does not depend only on the material, but on how the dentist understands light, shape, proportion and the integration of the restoration into the patient’s smile.

This course offers you a method that can be applied in daily practice, for cases in which you want to preserve as much tooth structure as possible and achieve an aesthetic result without automatically resorting to indirect solutions.

Minimally Invasive Anterior Restorations

You will understand how to approach anterior aesthetic cases through a conservative philosophy, where the goal is not to excessively alter the tooth, but to intelligently reconstruct what is missing. You will learn how to correctly select the indication and control every stage for natural results.

Layering, Shade and Optical Integration

You will gain a deeper understanding of how value, opacity, translucency and layer thickness influence the final result. The course helps you understand how to build a restoration that does not look “applied”, but integrated into the natural tooth.

Shape, Texture and Final Polishing

You will work practically on the morphology of anterior teeth, with emphasis on proportions, transition lines, incisal edges, texture and finishing. You will learn how small details can transform a correct restoration into a truly natural one.

Course led by Dr. Ana Luiza Libório, a dentist with international experience in aesthetic direct restorations and conservative composite resin techniques.

01. Understand the Case Before Starting the Restoration

Everything begins with analysis: tooth shape, proportions, shade, value, existing defect and aesthetic objective. You will learn how to correctly read the clinical case and how to choose a direct restoration strategy that preserves tooth structure and responds to the patient’s needs.

02. Build the Restoration Step by Step

During the hands-on sessions, you will apply the layering and modelling protocol for anterior teeth. You will work in a controlled manner, from the first composite layers to defining volume, contour and vestibular morphology, with applied feedback at every stage.

03. Finish, Texture and Integrate the Result

The final stage is dedicated to the details that make the difference: shape adjustment, transition lines, texture, polishing and final optical integration. You will learn how to transform the restoration into a natural, clean result that is coherent with the rest of the smile.

A certificate of participation is provided.

Technical Course Description:

Participants will learn how to perform direct anterior composite resin restorations through a structured clinical protocol, based on the preservation of dental tissue, shape control and aesthetic integration of the material into the natural tooth structure.

The course focuses on understanding the relationship between shade, value, opacity and translucency, so that the dentist can make the correct decisions at every stage of layering. It is not only about applying composite, but about building a restoration that respects tooth anatomy and integrates visually into the smile.

The practical sessions are designed to develop manual control: material dosage, volume modelling, reproduction of convexities, definition of incisal margins, creation of texture and achievement of a natural polish. Participants will practise the essential steps for anterior cases, with emphasis on predictability and immediate applicability in the dental office.

The course covers the entire restorative process: from case analysis and treatment planning to layering execution, morphological finishing and evaluation of the final result from an aesthetic perspective.

Studii de caz / rezultate vizibile:

The course includes clinical examples of direct restorations in the anterior region, with before & after images and explanations of the decisions made at every stage.

Participants will be able to observe how cases are analysed, planned and treated through a conservative approach.

Clinical situations such as shape modifications, incisal fractures, discolorations, enamel defects, wear or the need for aesthetic improvement without invasive interventions will be discussed. Each case is used to highlight the relationship between technique, material and result.

Through demonstrations and practical exercises, participants will understand how to build a restoration that is not based on a spectacular effect, but on precision: correct shade selection, layer thickness control, final shape, texture and polishing that provide naturalness.

Why Is It Worth Attending This Course?

Direct anterior composite restorations are no longer just a quick or provisional solution. When performed correctly, they can become conservative, predictable and extremely valuable aesthetic treatments in daily practice.

You will learn exactly what you need in order to approach anterior cases with greater confidence: aesthetic analysis, shade selection, layering, modelling, texture, finishing and polishing. All in an intensive 3-day format, with theory, demonstrations and hands-on training, under the guidance of a lecturer who focuses on precision, preservation and clinical applicability.

What You Risk by Not Attending This Course:

When patients ask for natural, fast and minimally invasive results, the lack of a clear protocol can mean more clinical stress, more touch-ups and results that are difficult to reproduce.
